I have just recently become active again in one of the most helpful and productive communities I've ever been a part of, called My Networking Pro. It's a very easy to navigate social networking site that is specifically designed for business people and entrepreneurs. I've found it to be an extremely responsive community.

It's free to get started with the ability to post a profile, website, free ads, etc. There is also the option to earn money by sharing myNetworkingPro with others. The compensation is binary and with everybody needing more business, more connections, more income, it's pretty easy to promote.

There are also contests and weekly $100 winners. Those who are most active in the community benefit the most as their profile and ads cycle to the front page with greater frequency. Recently a live feed similar to Facebook was added to the site. So whether you're just getting started in your business or looking for new business partners, this site will help you. There are lots of business building resources available from other members as well as a great deal of valuable information from the creators of the site. I have tried promoting my business through Facebook but I'm finding myNetworkingPro to be much more helpful.
